Miss Silvia and Friends

After lots of trouble ordering from creativecookware.com, I finally got my Rancilio Silvia and Rancilio Rocky from espressotec.com! On the right you see Silvia with a red knockbox, then on the left you see Rocky, with a red-handled tamper, and beside that a really pretty red coffee container. I’m slowly getting the hang of making espressos and lattes with this setup, but what I’m really looking forward to is modding Silvia with an Arduino-based PID controller. I don’t want an ugly box hanging off the side of Silvia like the ones over here so I’m thinking of having the Arduino be controllable from an iPhone via Wifi. With maybe a single breathing-pulsing LED under the group-head indicating when the temperature is at the setpoint :)
